This is for hopefully someday Gyaru magazine and the girl in charge asked me to do a comic. When I get a tablet and learn photoshop this year blah blah blah I can do the screentone MUCH better and easier but for this I did it the cut and stick way ;D

One more thing!!

This was our final project in sculpture class. It was a group installation project and we had to come up with something to put up around the school with a message >.> Ya so my group and I made a human/robot thingy symbolizing how much technology is controlling our lives.  We made the body and monitor out of plaster craft by plastering two of my partners XD and a computer monitor.

And here’s our statement :

Technology has enabled our generation to reach out and connect instantaneously with people on the other side of the world. This global reach may bring a better understanding between cultures. The downside is that this same technology isolates us from face to face contact with those closest to us. It’s not unusual for a family to have a  several televisions and/or computers throughout their home with each family member jacked into their own personal technical device. Here we have substituted the human face with the impersonal face of the computer monitor. Common items related to technology have been placed in the hands and a keyboard under the feet because using more than one piece of technology at one time is not uncommon either. Wires are wrapped around the body to show how tied up our lives have become in the technology. We are at the point where we cannot imagine living without it and in fact have developed a symbiotic relationship with technology. With the advent of bionics and nano technology we can only imagine how far this relationship will go.

So i’m really proud of this! We got it done my last full school day and we were behind all the other groups DX It’s really kinda creepy when you’re right next to it… A lot of work but totally worth it!

every year my school has a district arts festival. And us special seniors get to have booths displaying all our work we’ve ever done! Yayyy so these are pics of my display and other student work. This is my friend Anne’s display. Her concentration had to do with her own personal mythology and life and death and i can’t really remember >< I love the meat one though!!

My dear friend Anna! She did her concetration on the different aspects of teenage boys and king of made up a character for it. I wish i had close ups DX but as you can see, there’s him drinking an energy drink, being emo, have achne, the middle one is of him being a delinquent and she used her saved diciplinary referals in the background XD, smoking, listening to an ipod, playing video games. And she didn’t get any ribbons! But seriously it’s so good becuase all day groups of guys were coming up and pointing out to each other how they’re just like her paintings. But at least she sold a few :’D

And Anne and I helped her graffitti the background xD

That’s a cereal bowl I madein sculpture! You pour the milk down the rainbow so it goes into both bowls at the same time!

   This is my clay bust i did. Looks kinda weird but i think i got mynose down. It’s like life size so it’s kinda creepy XD                 

SO my idea for my pictures that were “innapropiate” I decided to stab holes through the cardboard and make a peepshow! You through the eyesballs to see each pic. Then I had this blue tarp up to hide it on the sides. UNFORTUNATELY I still had to take them down ;____; I still got judged on them though and got 1st place for a mixed portfolio Also 2nd for my display,  1st for my blanket, and an honorable mention for my cereal bowl

   

 

Uhhh this is something I had to do this year called books of hope. Basically schools sponsor a school abroad (i guess only Uganda? idk) and students make books so the kids can learn. I copied mine from this book that shows you how totransform your t-shirts into… cool t-shirts?

KRAZY! The Delirious World of Anime + Manga + Video Games
March 14th – June 14th, Japan Society NYC

It’s an exhibit one anime/manga/gaming culture from japan, featuring screenings & other cool stuff, worth a look at during a nice day trip I’d think. Exhibit space is being designed by Altelier Bow Wow, some pix of their work on other exhibits to be seen below:

May 2 & 3 @ Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

DC has their sakura festival, & so does nyc. Pretty flowers + right next to the Brooklyn Museum of Art & some DELICIOUS food spots make it a trip worth taking. NTM the festival aspect.

Of course other good stuff like shopping joints, food joints, comic book shops, book off! and a number of other badass museums to check out (& perhaps concertz).

Thought I’d share in case the meeting wanted to you know… NYC! cus uh, yeah. Also wanted to show off the inflatable snoopy house. Badassery!
